Mon histoire
En envisageant moi-même un MBA, j'ai été complètement submergé par le cirque du processus de candidature. Je croyais que mon profil était respectable, mais je manquais cruellement de confiance.
Je suis parti pour une visite coûteuse des meilleures écoles de commerce aux États-Unis et en Europe, posant des questions au personnel des admissions et aux étudiants pour affiner mes choix. Plus tard, le processus de remue-méninges et de rédaction de dissertations a pris si longtemps que j'ai reporté ma candidature au quatrième tour. Au moment de l'entrevue, j'ai cherché de l'aide partout où je pouvais; les mentors, les collègues et les pairs m'ont parsemé des mêmes questions génériques.
Pourtant, malgré la demande au hasard, j'ai reçu une offre de l'Université d'Oxford avec une bourse. Cette année-là, j'ai été élu président social et nommé sur la 'Dean's List".
Le fait est que mon application aurait pu être considérablement améliorée et accélérée avec une aide expérimentée. Avoir quelqu'un investi émotionnellement pour me tenir la main pendant le voyage aurait été le meilleur investissement que j'aurais pu faire.
Maintenant, j'aide les candidats internationaux à éviter les erreurs que j'ai faites et à maximiser leurs chances d'être accepté dans un programme de MBA.
